Sorsa's Story

Sorsa was born from a quiet but persistent urge to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that feel personal, meaningful, and lasting. Founder Sophia started making jewellery again after the birth of her second son. She was deep in that newborn phase-tired, in love, a little lost-and creating with her hands became a therapeutic space to reconnect with herself. What began as a creative outlet soon grew into something more. She started designing pieces for friends and family, and over time, Sorsa became something more-something she could really call her own.

Before jewellery, Sophia worked as a civil environmental engineer. She’s always been drawn to both beauty and structure-to sustainability and design. So it makes sense that these values now sit at the heart of Sorsa. Every piece is handcrafted in England using solid gold (mostly recycled or vintage) and hand-selected gemstone beads. She designs slowly, intentionally-no waste, no shortcuts. Just timeless materials and thoughtful details made to last a lifetime.

Sorsa’s signature is hand-knotted gemstone jewellery: necklaces, bracelets, and handbag straps made with natural silk, semi-precious stones, and solid gold. Each design is inspired by nature and made to feel like a quiet kind of luxury: wearable, elegant, and deeply personal.

At its core, Sorsa is about honouring the beauty of doing things differently. About creating a life - and a brand - that feels meaningful, flexible, and aligned. Sophia hopes the jewellery reflects that. She hopes it brings joy, feels like you, and becomes something to treasure for years to come.
