Our Story
Sorsa was born from a quiet but insistent urge to create — to bring beauty, meaning, and longevity into everyday life. Founder Sophia Champion de Crespigny returned to jewellery-making after the birth of her second son. In the midst of new motherhood — tender, transformative, and at times overwhelming — creating with her hands became a way to reconnect with herself. What began as a small, personal outlet soon grew into something more: a brand rooted in intention, creativity, and care.
From Engineering to Jewellery
Before founding Sorsa, Sophia worked as a civil environmental engineer. Drawn equally to structure and beauty, to sustainability and design, she carried these values into jewellery. It felt natural that they would sit at the heart of her brand today. Every piece is crafted in England using solid gold (mostly recycled or vintage) and hand-selected gemstones. The process is slow and intentional: no waste, no shortcuts — just timeless materials shaped into jewellery designed to last a lifetime.
Our Signature
Sorsa’s signature is hand-knotted gemstone jewellery — necklaces, bracelets, and gemstone accessories created with natural silk, semi-precious stones, and solid gold. Each design is inspired by nature and made to embody a quiet kind of luxury: elegant, versatile, and deeply personal.
