Graduated Opal Heishi Necklace with a 9k Recycled Gold Clasp
Fine discs of opal, graduated from 5mm at the back to around 10mm at the front, so the biggest, brightest stones sit right at the centre of the collar.
These are some of the finest opals we have worked with. Cut thin as heishi, they let the light pass straight through, and the colour inside them moves as you do: a flash at the collarbone every time you turn your head, never quite the same twice.
It sits neatly around the base of the neck and closes with a 9k gold clasp at the back, which makes it one of our favourite layering pieces. Wear it with a longer gold chain or one of our rainbow strands, or on its own with an open neckline, where it catches the light of everything around it.
Opal is October's birthstone, which makes this a birthday gift that keeps being worn long after the day.
Design Details
— Natural opal heishi, graduated from 5mm to 10mm
— Largest stones at the front
— Solid 9k recycled gold clasp, worn at the back
— Collar length (measurements to follow)
— Designed and made in London
A note on our stones: every opal is natural, so the colour and play of light vary from stone to stone. That is what makes each necklace your own.
Opal Care
Opal is softer than most gemstones and holds a little water within it. Put it on after perfume and lotions, take it off to swim or shower, and store it on its own so the discs don't rub against harder stones.
