Hand-knotting is a traditional technique most often associated with fine pearl jewellery. Each gemstone is individually knotted onto silk, allowing the necklace to drape softly against the skin while protecting the stones from rubbing against one another.

If the thread were ever to break, the knots help prevent the gemstones from scattering. It’s a slow and thoughtful process, chosen for both beauty and durability.
